Just completed this quilt top - Rising Sun from America's Printed Fabrics 1770-1890 by Barbara Brackman (C&T Publishing 2004). We have been iced in for the last three days and during that time I was able to finish the top. This book talked about the different types of fabrics used in 1770-1890 - both for clothing and for quilts. I really enjoyed making this top. I have made a scrappy back for it and will be taking it to a longarm quilter soon.
I enjoy listening to audiobooks while I sew. Right now I am listening to the last of the Coffeehouse Mysteries by Cleo Coyle. I only listen to fiction audiobooks while I sew - Nonfiction books, I feel, require more attention that Fiction ones. The narrator for this series - Rebecca Gibel - changes inflection/accent between characters and I enjoy that a bunch.
Note: I started this blog in 2014, but stopped posting. This is my first posting in quite a while.
